2012-01-08 With the carol singing in Borowno…

On 8 January 2012 in Borowno there was held a Christmas Carol Concert performed by the Claromontane Boys’ Choir Pueri Claromontani conducted by Jarosław Jasiura.

Having been invited by the parson canon Piotr Krzemiński, the Claromontane carol-singers arrived at the St Wawrzyniec parish to sing Christmas carols and pastorales from different parts of the world: Come Hither with Your Faith, Let Us Greet the Infant, Rise up, Shepherds, and Follow, Slumber on Holy, Inconceivable Gifts, Silent Night, Oh, My Little One, Gore, Star of Jesus, The Bethlehem Land is Sleeping, The Hay in the Manger, Angels We Have Heard on High. The Christmas repertoire was interspersed with the soloists’ performances of Przemysław Drąg, Maciej Partyka, Mateusz Jasiński, and also by the performance of a „family” highland band composed of: Tomasz Kościelniak, Jacek, Krzysztof and Stanisław Sosiński as well as Kacper and Tomasz Tomasik, who made a guest appearance.

The concert was listened to by parishioners gathered in large numbers and the invited guests, among whom the district authorities of Mykanow were also present: Mr Krzysztof Smela, the village-mayor and Mr Jacek Staniewski, the vice-village-mayor.

Wishes for Christmas

„That is just the evening when the frost gleams like a star outside,
at the tables there are seats for strangers, as nobody can be lonely that night

That is just the evening when a cold wind blows with snow,
comfort fills broken, sad hearts quietly and with glow.

That is just the evening when evil dies of shame,
seeing how powerful and beautiful Love can be as it spreads its fists without blame.

That is just the evening since time immemorial,
under the roof of tender carol singing God is born in a man as undictatorial.”

L. Krzemieniecka, Christmas-Eve Evening

Dear Parents, Boys, Friends and Aid Donors of our Choir.

During this cold, December time, the warmest Holiday of the year is coming, the feast smelling of a Christmas tree and resounding with carol singing. I wish everyone joy, peace and love, which are brought by our Saviour descending to earth. Let all the difficult matters solve themselves and hope refill our life.

"... although there is so much sorrow inside us and dormant anger remains there
give each other the sign of peace
give each other the sign….”

2011-12-20 Christmastime is coming – a social gathering around Christmas at the Luminous Mount

In the last week of the Advent, the choir singers of Pueri Claromontani gathered together with their tutors and parents for common prayer in the Chapel of the Rosary at the Luminous Mount. During the Liturgy of the Word led by Father Wojciech Dec, the guardian of Church of the Claromontane choirs, Christmas wafer, a symbol of reconciliation and forgiveness, the sign of friendship, love as well as family unity, was blessed. The wafer along with Christmas greetings was taken by the boys to their homes.

2011-12-19 Christmas of 2011 „The Church is our home"

Take the best greetings from the Throne of Our Claromontane Lady. In his boundless mercy, God once again allows us to experience the Mystery of Nativity of Our Lord and Redeemer, Jesus Christ.    God responded to Adam's sin with the Incarnation of his Son Jesus Christ, who became Emmanuel - God-with-us! In his boundless mercy, God responded to our sins with forgiveness.

In the Church, which is our home, nearly every day we are given the Grace of experiencing His advent in the Eucharist – in His Word, Body and Blood that we consume. We are given the Grace of experiencing this communion with God, brothers and sisters within the Church Community. It is God who is building up this unity, it is Him who is the author of this unity of which the foundation is love carried to the point of loving one’s enemies.

Together with the psalmist, we offer up our wistful prayers and singing to God: “One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. To gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.”/Psalm 27/ I wish you and your families blessed Christmas, joy, peace and genuine unity with God as well as with other people for every day of the New Year 2012.

Together with the Minister of Church Musicians, the Association of Polish Church Musicians, the Polish Federation of Caecilianum, the Polish Federation of Pueri Cantores, we would like to invite You for the Third All-Poland Pilgrimage of Church Musicians /organists, conductors, choirs, liturgical scholas, cantors and instrumental groups/ to the Luminous Mount on 5 May in 2012 under the banner of: „The Church is our home". Let the Claromontane Queen encompass us with the mantle of her protection in 2012.
